Agreeing to these terms
Heron is made by Rolling Rabbits Sh.p.k. (“we”). These terms cover the Heron apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, Heron Pro, and the optional notification service. By downloading or using Heron, you agree to them.
If you get Heron from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms add to it, and where the two differ for an App Store copy, Apple’s agreement wins.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Heron on devices you own or control. The Mac companion app is free to download from this website. Heron, its design and its name remain ours. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the apps, or reverse engineer them except where the law allows it.
Heron Pro
- Heron Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, bought through Apple. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy, and the payment is charged to your Apple Account.
- It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
- Apple handles billing and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Everything in the free version stays free. If we change what Pro includes, we won’t take away something you’re paying for during a period you’ve already paid for.
Using Heron responsibly
- Only pair and control Macs that you own or are allowed to use.
- Heron sends your taps, keys, clipboard text and prompts to your Mac as if you were at it. You’re responsible for what you do through it, including the commands you send to agents and apps.
- Don’t use Heron to break the law, to get into someone else’s computer, or to interfere with other people’s use of it.
Other apps and services
Heron shows and controls apps already on your Mac, such as Terminal, Safari or Claude, and can connect over networks like Tailscale. Those are provided by others under their own terms. We aren’t affiliated with them and aren’t responsible for them.
The notification service
Agent notifications are delivered through our relay, as described in the Privacy Policy. We work to keep it running, but can’t promise every notification arrives on time, and we may change or end the service.
Updates
We may update Heron to fix problems, add features or keep up with Apple’s systems. Some features may need a recent version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS, such as dictation, which needs iOS 27.
No warranty
We build Heron with care, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it suits a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, work or profits, from using Heron. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Heron Pro in the twelve months before the claim. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using Heron at any time by deleting the apps and cancelling any subscription. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use Heron after a change means you accept the new terms.
